Cumberland Blues

This is your favorite cracker boy here man, I need to get you (expletive deleted-bleeped) straightened out before you destroy your own career man, huh, huh, huh, huh.

I woke up this morning people
I was lying in a pool of sweat
I was thinking about some broken promises and my bills
Some gig I did not get
If all you Crackers out there had your way
You know I’d surely loose
I wants to tell ya’ll I’m here to stay
I got those Cumberland blues

Thought I had a friend in Pennsylvania
Thought I’d found a place to play
When I showed I had a back bone and some Cojones
You know they sped me on my way
Now the place I kept my trust
There’s a big old bruise
When your glitter one day turn to dust
I’ll loose these Cumberland blues
